I knew that engine modifications were the main problem. Although Holley is specific in saying that the base maps only are enough to start and idle the engine and further changes will be necessary. It's along way from for instance, GM's throttle body injection on older trucks, or Ford's injection on the mustangs. But they knew exactly what they were programming and had milllions to spend on getting it right. I still may lean back towards a carb in the next year or so. Anyone want to buy a Holley 650cfm system with little use?
