While you are in there Karl now would be the time to go to a polished timing cover.. They are really easy to install once you have the harmonic balancer off. just take off the water pump and bingo.. that would give you a reason to go get the loaner from the better parts store.. to get the timing gasket set you will need for the polished timing cover.
