Coolest memory

…I was the last of five cars in a group leaving the pit stop at Dripping Springs and had the honor of giving Boudy’s 9 yr old daughter Jordan her very first Cobra ride. Snakeyes and his GT-40 were leading the pack and I believe that John Russell was the number three car. We all behaved ourselves for the first 5 miles or so playing follow the leader on the two lane, winding road headed for Wimberly. Suddenly, we came to a 2-mile long, 3 or 4 lane wide open straight away and snakeyes nailed the GT-40 and took off.

I turned to Jordan and said, “Here we go – hang on”. The 4 Cobras quickly accepted the challenge and in a heartbeat all 5 were roaring along at close to 100. I took one quick look at my young passenger…eyes as big as saucers, but still smiling. Once we all dropped back to near the speed limit, I heard her say “cooooool”.
Biggest surprise

…on the return trip from Gruene I turned the driving over to my son Matt and I was sitting back enjoying the hill country. We pulled through Wimberley and made the right turn heading north. A few blocks past the little stream that runs through town, I notice a little 4 door sedan approaching headed south. A young girl in the passenger seat stuck her head up over the top of the car and yelled and gave a big thumbs up. Not to be outdone, a little blonde in the back seat behind the driver stuck her torso out the window and raised her t-shirt to show us that she was not wearing a bra.

Matt and I looked at each other and just busted out laughing.

He had to pull over and stop at a gas station we were laughing so hard!!! Ahhhh Cobras!!!

I have heard and read of such stories, but a first for me.
