Thanks for the kind words and I'm pleased to have added more evidence on another contender to the controversy. In my view all the alloy bodied Cobras are fantastic machines.
I guess once people go to the trouble of moving beyond pouring plastic into a mold they tend to get the other things right as well.
By the way I agree that an exception to this was in some of the output from AC in recent years. They were not always in the best possible taste. They agree too and seemed to be genuinely pleased to build mine to a spec. that was as close as legally possible to what I wanted. Since then (2001) there has been another change of owner and they appear to be getting back to their roots once again. Last time I was there they were building a perfect replica of an FIA complete with leaf spring etc. Very tempting but again not legally useable on British roads. Oh to be in the land of the free!
