My Contemporary had the same issue yours has, but I never expected it to turn around in it's own length. I don't think there's much you can do except to have a front end shop look at it to see if the steering rack is traveling it's full length both ways and that there is no bind up.

Anywhere but in a confined driveway, I found mine to handle the twisties very nicely and was very nimble in traffic.
