Surely a quick rack won't improve the turning circle at all, but it will make the steering heavier.
My Kit uses Jag suspension and steering, and I agree that the steering lock is pretty poor. But with 9" wide wheels at the front and low suspension there isn't much room for a wheel to turn under the arch.
