Gary and or Bish;

I travelled across the continental divide [Wyoming ] a few times.
You need to set your carb up to run at high altitude to cross 8,000 feet of mountain range cruise all day at 6,000 feet just east of the mountains, it's stunning being on top of the world but you carb will be running VERY RICH. I would go down 4 #'s leaner in the primaries and 6 #'s in the secondaies as a compromise to give some driveabillity everywhere you go. EG; if you have your holley jetted at 72 in the primaries- go to 68 jets. bring a few sets of jets and bowl gaskets along as spares, and a big stick, .... just a suggestion from someone who's been surrounded by 40 buffalo in Yellowstone park.
Perry.
