Mark, 285 lbs doesn't tell you anything about your compression, only good starting point for finding out if anything is wrong with your engine. Your cam controls how much static cylinder pressure you have.

To find CR you have to use your bore and stoke, plus deck height, plus head volume, minus dish cc's in piston, plus gasket compressed thickness divided by head cc's
