Thumbs up Cobra Heater

I went to a local swap meet yesterday. I arrived late and there wasn't much there but you never know what gems will turn up amongst the junk.

I'd been wondering what to do for a heater/windshield demister since it's a legal requirement down here. I wasn't realy looking for anything in particular at the swap but this neat little heater caught my eye. It's a Denso unit from the late 40's early 50's. It was in pretty good condition with just a little surface rust. It's surprisingly well designed with ducts built in for the winshield vent hoses and 2 flaps that can be opened to direct heat into the cabin. The whole thing is about 7" in diamenter and probably weighs 3 pounds. I picked it up for a reasonable price for it's condition and it looks like it'll be perfect for the Cobra.

Any one else had any experience with these heaters or know much about them?

I found a picture of one on the web but I'll try to take a snap of mine.

Cheers
