Actually, after adding one of these "chips", the exhaust system and all the gauges, you learn to drive the truck by using the exhaust gas temperatures. When using the selectable power knob with the Western Diesel setup, you can dial in how much power you need or don't need for any given situation. Obviously the harder the truck is driven, the hotter the exhaust gases get. I do recommend the Western Diesel products.
