Blake - You do need a certain amount of backpressure otherwise you will have that backfiring and poping...And, you also get too much backpressure when you try and hollow out the pipes and make the exhaust run that far - it can actually cause you to drop hp...The "shorty" method Slow Dawg mentioned is usually the best solution - for the track...Doing it on the street might attract a little TOO much attention.
