If I were you, before I gave up the hopes of having an IRS I would pick up a hot rodders type magazine and in there you can find numerous companies that can build you an IRS using a Ford 9" center section, which is far better than the Jag rear anyhow. I have one in my car and it's a Daytona center with 3:50's in it. I think it's a great setup but I should warn that it's not a cheap way to go but thought I would mention it.
