It seems air pressure is like oil viscosities, most feel higher is better. Too much air reduces your footprint (and traction) and increases the spring rate of the tire. These are light cars on big tires. I run 20psi (cold) all around in my SPF with no problems (245/60-15 front, 275/60-15 rear). I would increase the pressure for track events but not for long trips.
