Just to clarify, lower pressure certainly gives me a more comfortable ride when cruising around town and my rear tires stick better in a straight shot drag situation. When talking about handeling abilities, I agree with Ham Todd and Petek that higher pressure is certainly the way to go. I used to SCCA Autocross in a heavy Mustang with my tires filled up to over 40lbs. I think it is best to adjust your tire pressure to the situation. I hope this helps.
