John - When you first told me that you had a problem with your motor and CHP was not going to make it right, I was not suprised at all. It is very suprising that they chose this course of action, they did not with me...Maybe their balance sheets started to show after the amount of bad press they have been receiving as of late...I hope so, and I also hope they will take heed of your situation and realize that when you pay someone close to 12K for a motor - they better stand behind their work.
I'm sure you will have a screamer - Coast CAN build nice motors, I just think they need to be a bit more considerate when it comes to customer service and also pay more attention to detail during the assembly process.
It would appear that they are making an effort to keep their customers happy and I hope they contunue to do so. Remember, the best customer is a return customer. Glad everything worked out for you. Now, what you need to do is run it with the carb for a thousand miles or so, and then have Dean slap the Hilborn fuel injection kit on it -
