Talking SPF1591 is complete

I have completed the install of the driveline in SPF1591. For those of you out there considering doing the install yourself on an SPF, it's really not too bad. It took about 30 hours of work total, including learning how to cleanly cut and assemble SST braided hose (ouch!), especially the -6 size (double ouch!!). The only help I had was when the motor was actually on the crane and placed on the mounts (less than 1 hour), everthing else I did alone. By the way, I've never installed a motor before.

About 4 hours of the assembly was due to the Accusump. You can see the blue cylinder in front of the motor. I fabricated some simple brackets and square u-bolts to clamp it to the cross member. This way I did not have to drill any holes in the frame.

At first I was dealing with 2 leaks, one coolant, and one oil. The coolant leak was from a loose hose clamp under the header tank, while the oil leak is from the oil temp sender...still trying to get that one to stop

I've sent my paperwork into the DOT, but have been up and down the street a couple of times .

My golfing buddy came over last night and I gave a ride down the street, I squeezed it a little in first after turning around at the end of the street, maybe he wasn't ready, but out of the corner of my eye I could see he looked like a bobble head doll as his head snapped back

I can't wait to get my plates.

Regards,

Chuck
