Default Rear sump
A rear sump is not a functional problem. The 460 engine was built in both configurations and either will work fine. The question is whether the timing cover mounted dipstick will work, since it seems to be designed for installation into the deep front sump, not the shallow front area of a rear sump pan.

Can Moroso or your dealer help you with this question?
