Dane,

ERA uses a Jag independent rear suspension. From the factory, the Jag brakes were placed inboard near the center section (ring and pinion) unit. The brake pads can be hard to get at to replace when worn (ERA actually has a panel in the interior that can be removed). The brakes also tend to heatup excessively under racing conditions due to a lack of air flow. As an option, ERA offers a custom Jag rear assembly that moves the brakes outboard to the wheels (like other rearend setups). Easier to get at and run cooler in the wind stream.
