Cool

A most excellent thread! Ton o' knowledge, experience and frustration evident throughout.

Allow me to swerve the focus a bit. My goal right now is to get an old (pre-'74) 351W, and top it with Webers. It seems many people I talk to try to talk me out of it. First, they say go Cleveland instead of Windsor. I'm pretty set on Windsor, so that doesn't get too much of my attention. But, what I'm getting a lot of is the old "Webers are a bi*$@ to tune!". I have nada experience with tuning carbs, so it will all be new to me. What I do know is I want, and will have, stacks on my engine. Should I look at a stack EFI system, given my lack of skills with carbs? Or, should I stick to my guns, and have the pleasure of the real deal, recognizing how "dated" they may be? Is the HP book on Webers worth purchasing?

Hopefully those that are into Webers and stacks in general are keeping an eye on this thread and will provide me with $.02.

late.
