Personally, I think they are, at least initially, pretty darn hard to drive. I see those 1960's pictures of Cobras rounding a corner almost up on two wheels, and I wonder how the heck big those drivers balls really were! I came to the 550hp Cobra, from a 300hp 300ZX twin turbo, with similar wheelbase. I got the 300ZX as a step up from a minivan. Like any other red blooded American boy, I grew up stupidly driving a 1960's 3 ton Pontiac 80 mph down winding roads when I was 17 years old. I could drive the 300ZX like a pro after a couple days. It took me a month of practice to begin to not want to crap my pants in the Cobra. Don't know why the thing scares the manure out of me, I am not known for wimpiness, but maybe my subconscious "death risk" sensors are overloading. I dunno. I want to take a Bondurant course, when time permits, and absolutely will NOT drive my Cobra like Rambo until I do, and then only in a safe environment.
