I remember the be home by the street light warning, drinking from the garden hose, waiting for summer so you could play in the street more because the days were longer and there was no homework to do (and I am sure my folks were glad to have me out of the house burning off energy). My Dad sending me to the gas station for lawn mower gas with a metal one gallon can and some change from his pocket. Ice cream cones from my Grandma because she put M&M's in the bottom of the cone first, and of course what childhood is complete without a good tree fort. Ours was built in a huge pine tree in our yard, always came out of the tree covered in pitch and then went right for the dog to see how much hair we could get to stick to us. Suprised that my Mom didn't kill me and my dog wasn't bald.
