A T-10 would have three shift rods (1-2), (3-4) and reverse. The reverse rod lever originates from the tail housing, as that is where reverse is located. The two forward shift levers are on the main case side cover. The same is true of a Muncie or a Super T-10. None of them have two side inspection covers, just one.
