JUST A THOUGHT - - FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD EVERY COOLING SYSTEM PROBLEM THAT YOU CAN IMAGINE.

1. THE RELAY AMPERAGE RATING SHOULD BE AT LEAST 50% GREATER THAN THE MAXIMUM CURRENT DRAW OF YOUR PUMP. (ENGINEERING SPECS). I PREFER THE RATING OF THE RELAY TO BE "DOUBLE" THE MAX CURRENT DRAW OF THE PUMP MOTOR. (BLACKJACKS ENGINEERING MANUAL).

2. IF YOU'RE GOING TO USE A "TIMER" CIRCUIT I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU WIRE IT TO "KEEP THE PUMP RUNNING" FOR 2 OR 3 MINUTES AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUT OFF. ONE OF THE BIG ADVANTAGES TO AN ELECTRIC WATER PUMP IS THE ABILITY TO DO THIS. THIS IS MUCH BETTER ON YOUR ENGINE BECAUSE IT PREVENTS IT FROM "COOKING" WHEN IT IS SHUT DOWN AND THE MECHANICAL PUMP IS NOT OPERATING.

3. REMEMBER: THE MORE "STUFF" YOU INSTALL THE MORE STUFF THERE IS TO BREAK OR TO OTHERWISE GET MESSED UP.
