There are TWO arguments here: 1. What is a real Cobra? and 2. What do you call a car assembled by CS? Let's see if I can muddle up the waters again.....To a person who knows NOTHING about kit cars/replicas/"Fakey-doos", but KNOWS about the Cobras from the sixties, TO THAT PERSON, the only "REAL" Cobra is that car made by CS in the 60's! To THAT PERSON, if they ask "Is that a real Cobra?", the only honest reply from a Cobra owner whose car WAS NOT assembled/created in the 60's is...NO...!!! That answers the first question. Now, for the second question...If CS makes a car that looks just like a Cobra, sounds like a Cobra, etc etc etc, since that car was made by CS, (who made the original Cobras in the 60's), I would say "Yes", it is a REAL Cobra, but not an original Cobra!! I think that these two questions can ONLY be answered by using the same criteria the person asking the question uses, and they use whatever criteria they choose, in setting parameters on what constitutes what...Kind of, "Reality is in the eyes of the beholder!" This should clear things up!!
