Well now, we've come a long way...or have we?

You can HEAR the bad TASTE left from HOW Carroll and company handled their LATE "reentry" (usually conjurs up a mushroom cloud after a real long contrail...) into the Cobra Renaissance. Uh, and that was the 2nd time?

Real1, et al, you'll have to remember that a lot of us are still pi$$ed at those Vegas prisoner employers and the effect they had on people that we care about, respect and consider our friends and compatriots. Then, to top it off, they end up re-selling SOMEONE-ELSE's stuff! Someone who they (also...) threatend to sue from what I understand! The romance is gone and the Heritage is tainted. That's how a lot of us feel. Not to forget that those of us who grew up in So Cal around a LOT of these gorgeous cars feel a loss of Honor and History due to the mis-dealings/mis handlings of and by the name and originator. That's how I feel, that is.

So, somefolks take it in the gut over this issue. We shouldn't; but, we do.

These things started out has cars being sold to pay for racing. A "shop" in Venice with some guys that loved cars that labored to make tham the best they could on a limited budget. A bunch of re-hashed Aces came over on some boats, some So Cal guys stuffed some V8's in'em...a bunch of motorheads wrenching on cars has become a big business/legal nightmare. Sounds like NASCAR, doesn't it?

The "Spirit" of the Original car lives in the Hearts and Minds of these FFR folk. From the Bordens at Thunderhill to Jon down at "The Gateway" to "U.K.Daytona" and his coupe dreams on the Isle.

You also have some strong "Feelings" about these things, that's obvious from your well stated reasoning for building a CSX.

We need to back off for a second and realize how this looks from the outside. We're all huddled up *****in' at each other while we're playing the same game on the same team...kinda funny...I have even re-learned how to make a complete ass of myself!

Oddly enough, a lot of people here will probably end up @ DV and share a beer, or-at least, I hope.

'Til then,

Manny
