Bill, your "nickname" is one of the most recognizable ones on the forum, i have read your posts for the 3+ years i have been on CC myself. I considered your information on cars and such pretty informative to me.
But lately you seem to have been all angry with just about so many posts and topics, that it has spilled over into just about everything you post as of late.
I can understand your searing hostility to any sort of "street racing", which is partly why i said i never street race in my interview with the Speedvision camera crew a few days ago.
I have been around hundreds of Replicas and their owners/drivers, and have yet to meet one who acted like their particular version was superior to the rest.
I am sure most of us thing highly of our particular version, but are wise enough to keep our thoughts secret, and just be friends with others. What fool would tell his neighbors that his wife/kids were superior to theirs, even if we all probably think so.
I have more road miles than most, and have no recollection of being chastized, humiliated, and mocked, especially by other Replica drivers. excepting one lady at a car show.
There have been several times in my life i have gotten into an angry attitude towards one thing or another, but with the firm insistance of my wife, i would walk away from what ever the offending thing was. When it comes to cars, i am pretty much happy with what ever other folks want to drive/modify/ or covet.
If i were to have a "signature" that was suggesting some sort of political/social statement, i would change it to something more cheerful.
I don't have a clue as to what Replica you own, i thought you were a Mustang man.
Life is too short to carry a grudge. I am confronted daily with frustrating people. I have learned to just shrug my shoulders, and ignore it. If people aggravate me, i don't call them names, i just walk on down the hall.
I hope you have a great summer, and can get out on the road some. It is very curative for one's soul.
