This motor was dyno'd with 1 3/4" headers but installed in the car with 2". Because it takes at least a 2" tube to clear the exhaust ports on the AFR 225 heads and headers are equal length tubes. As far as block goes, we used a Ford motorsports Sportsman II. Which to my understanding has a little heavier webbing on the bottom end.
It'll be interesting to see what rear-wheel hp I get with the larger headers, I hope they make up for the loss thru the mufflers.
