Cool

Perry,

Thanks for the note. I will start to check out customs brokers as I need to know how long after leaving Ireland it will be ready for pick up in NYC.

I am surprised they need an invoice as the car will only be in the US for a short while. Anyhoo I will bring the registration title and any other paperwork I have.

THe bigger concerrn is the reaction the car will get stateside with a chevy engine in it?!

Paul

Paul, you can import your car on a temporary in-bond, this means it can stay in the U.S. for up to one year from date of entry. no duties or taxes apply to this type entry, I am a customs broker but not permitted in your likely port of arrival. When you know what port (city) it will arrive in, contact a customs broker in that city and they will take care of all the paperwork, you must supply them with an invoice and describe it in detail, manufacture, value, country of origin and anything else you can think of.
