If you want them to look good go to one of your signmakers and have them cut you some 3" stripes (about 36" long) out and mask them together so you can put both of them on at the same time. The cost should be around $25 or $30 for the pair. Use a plastic bondo spreader to smooth them down before you pull the top layer that adheres both pieces of tape together. After you get all the bubbles out them pull your top skin off of your stripes and walla.
If you want to take them off just grab a hair dryer and they will peal up very easy. Especially since you have a gell coat finish you will never lift your paint.
