The traditional solder that these are assembled with is very soft and will not tollerate vibration or corrosion. Disassemble it completely, bead blast it to remove all paint and then find a metal fab shop or someone that does metal sculpture and have it assembled using SILVER solder. Using the torch to get the temps right takes some practice. It is MUCH MUCH stronger.
Retain the look increase the performance.
