I didn't use Classic's harness (one of the many things I never received from them back in 1990), so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt.

I've got relays mounted on back of the dash, on the firewall (both sides), and out in the area of the door latches. About the only thing you need to worry about when mounting the relays is to make sure you can get to the relay and the connectors on the relay (being electro-mechanical devices, relays can go bad with time).
