I am a curious bastard so I did some investigating on the subject. Looks like the old man has brought machining in-house (bought Arias' Block Works) and brought on a new crew in engineering tech to improve both the back end and the front end. I was told today they are already kicking ass and taking names.
Edit: Forgot to say, the more I look around the more it sounds like Genesis is still early in the learning curve. Flatlander racing rejected and returned a bunch of blocks, and took them off their web site. I think they will have a fair amount of customers once they get the bugs fixed and they are available. But it looks like Shelby is getting real competitive. Mmmmm, competition.

This may be a banner year for people in the market for a block!
