Same thing happened when I changed the
oil on my car a couple of weeks ago. Nothing like the sound of metal pieces falling into the
oil catch pan to get your attention! ERA sent a replacement "sandwich plate", but I may just leave the cooler out of the loop as the
oil never got all that warm anyway. It was such a pain in the butt taking out the offending part, removing the oil lines, etc., it's not something I want to do again. All that holds the disc in place is apparently a miniscule amount of aluminum where two edges of the cavity it sits in were "peened over" with a very small punch. Doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence. Good luck.
