Wow,
What a day!!!! We had at least a dozen Cobras at OTB, and about 50,000 droolers in the parking lot. I think OTB was not exactly ready for us, but Vicki came to the rescue of the wait staff, she rightly should have gotten at least half of all the tips. We then snaked over to Drew's new shop- Keith Craft Motorsports 1611 North Central expressway, Plano, Texas 75075...972-578-3554, which was only about 150 yards away. VERY NICE!!
We watched 2 Cobras run on the Dynojet
with Greg first up! If memory serves, Greg's second run produced 364 rwhp, but also showed a lean condition which negated a third pull. Then Alan put his 418 Keith Craft stroker up to raise the bar to 432 rwhp and a highly restrictive exhaust. Alas, John jr. & I had to hop in the Honda & head for home, and miss the rest of the fun.
Fred, thanks for the tip on the liquid filled fuel pressure gauge- you were correct, and a ice cold rag brought the pressure up from 0 to 3# and climbing.
Now, I just have a little more carb tweaking to do, but Mary & I put about 15 miles on it yesterday, and it was FUN!!!
Thanks Drew for a great day, and to all of my Cobra family for sharing their Saturday with us.
John & John jr. Russell
