Motion control design engineer in the entertainment industry. If you go to a concert, or watch one of the prime-time awards or reality shows, or attend a Broadway type theater, you see the lights sweeping across the stage and audience, changing colors and effects. Well, I'm the one that makes 'em move. I use software, microcontrollers, steppermotors, opto-mechanical gizmos and a little bit of "magic".
I a previous life I worked on commercial airliners and helicopters, including one called a "Cobra".
