It figures, the one time that I need the E-M manual and it goes missing.......

Does anyone know what the placement of the hole for the steering shaft through the foot box is supposed to be?? As I recall it was an inch or two down and over from the upper left corner of the box as viewed from the front of the car. Looking at the allignment of the mounts on the cowl hoop it looks more like it should come out of the side of the box!?!? Any opinions, answers (prefferably correct answers), and/or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
