The transmission in question....
http://www.g-forcetransmissions.com/tran_gt-5.asp

This is a reply to a similar question from another forum:

I work for a G-Force distributor. It is hands down the baddest transmission available right now. It is 38 pounds lighter than a TKO. We have done major testing with it and have gone as fast as 9.70 at 137 MPH with it.

This transmission is also fully capable of being driven on the street. I myself have driven them with no upshifting or downshifting problems. The only set back is it is a little noisy due to the Straight Cut Gear set.

Contact me directly at NITROSTANGRACING@MSN.COM for more info.

Thanks Jeff

It might sound naive, but I really do believe that any products that G-Force put to market will have been thoroughly tested prior to public sale. Their reputation is too good to risk with some half baked, street compromised product. I'd go for the straight-cut gears because of the extra strength, but I bet their helical gears would will still be stronger than any other "street" trans on the market.

Do you think I respect G-Force???
