We do not recommend using any dial back or digital timing light, a standard inductive timing light will work fine. The high voltage and multiple spark generated by the MSD unit can interfere with the electrical components of the adjustable timing light. We also suggest you run a degreed balancer or use degreed tap on your balancer.
