TURK- I largely agree with what you said, with a couple of observations.
1) Most of us weren't in the Oval Office with Bill and Monica Lewinsky, but we still had an opinion on what went on, which we talked about incessantly.
2) As a admitted "died in the wool" fkn' waxer, I have no desire to prove my manhood by driving my car faster than it is safe for me to do so ( but I do drive the crap out of my twin turbo 300ZX and my riding lawnmower
), but I think you ought to have some kind of organized way for 283 Cobra's to gun it at least a little bit. To think that an event with that many Cobra's NEVER gunning it will happen is even less likely than having a burnout on main street without somebody overdoing it. At least with the burnouts on main street, most people knew what was happening, and could choose to leave the area if they felt unsafe, but if there were no burnout areas, people would be randomly gunning it, and whipping around corners in areas where pedestrians would not be expecting it.
Have the event organizers post a big bond to cover the city in the event of a mishap. Let the tree trunks do their thing and thin the herd a little bit, but, if you value your freedom or your children's inheritance, don't wrap your Cobra around a tree with anybody in it except yourself!
