At what RPM does it show a HP increase? The Performer RPM is supposed to be good to 6000 to 6500RPM so unless you are running a solid roller cam and heavy springs you should be trying to stay under 6000rpm. Your cam should peak at just under 6000rpm with 234 duration.
I run the Performer RPM with a 600 vac secondary holley and a trick flow cam .499/.510 lift 221/225 duration at .050. This cam putters out at about 5500 rpm so yours should go to about 6000. At 6000 I doubt the victor will work much better. Also have you checked the hood clearance with the victor vs the performer rpm. Even with my Performer RPM the air cleander is way up in the hood scoop
