Here's the Haulmark I tow with. It's the slopped front for a little less drag. Only thing that would be better would be a lower profile aluminum trailer, but like you say they are $$$. This one works great, though, what with torsion-bar axles, 20-foot interior length and 24-ft OAL. As for open, I've had them and they are fine, but it's really nice to tow through rain, hale and dirt and arrive at your destination with a clean dry Cobra. Save your sheckles for an enclosed trailer . . . and consider a used one. EBay is a good place to start your search.
