Duane, they may have been bumped. Noticed the reverse linkage was moved into gear, but I pulled that lever to get it out of gear and then the shifter started working (essentialy locked out when that rod was not centered in neutral).

Pat, I did put that bass turd on backwords....How far did I go....Well, I jimmy'd with it for quite a while, tried to pull it in with the bolts, but didn't put too much pressure on it, as I figured it should just go if it was lined up. Assuming my take on "too much" pressure is not in line with what it would actually take to break something, what would I have broken?

Karl, I don't know how much play there is at this point. I'll have to check.
