David, the engine builder checked and adjusted bellhousing alignment. Assuming that was done correctly. As for the lenght, I did not check it. Didn't even consider that it could be a problem.
Scott, the pilot bearing appeard to be in all the way...I recall it being flush with the flywheel mounting surface. As for good luck, I've had zero to this point, so.....Not counting on it now.
