Default Transmissions

Cal Metal,

I had a big shaft TL behind the FE, great transmission, but quite heavy and of course being heavy they handle almost anything. I dont know whether its worth going to a lighter trans, as they dont last.

Regarding the TKO II I can't be bothered with the high overdriven fifth gear, even though cruising in a low revving machine is good, I am going to run 3.08 rear gears, and would be quite happy with a 1.1 top cog!

A lot of guys run a very steep rear end ratio, I suppose this leaves the bottom four ratios quite low and closer, and utilizing a .58 fifth gives a good cruising number!
