Gary: The bar runs across the car under the dash and then down to the frame rails on both sides. It is also attached to the firewall and the doors hinge from it. I'll try to get you some pictures posted.

Your cowl shake question is difficult to answer at best because it's ambiguous. The best I can do is, "No, it doesn't really shake, much." I can tell you that the wind sheild in my 96' Vette, with the top off, bothers me because it shakes so much on bumps and this car doesn't. So then is it rigid? By default, that would be a yes. However, it's not so rigid that every bump beats you and the car into submission.

As for side impacts, we all hope it doesn't happen. None of these cars have DOT side impact specs.

Yes, we can get you 16" wheels.

SoutherfriedCJ: The suspension is rebuilt. Consumables are new as mention above.
