I've gotten into the habit of pushing the car out of the garage, shutting the garage door, then hopping in the car, firing it up and leaving.

On the night before DVSF3, I fired the car up in the garage and let it run a few minutes while I was packing the trunk with stuff. I picked up a strong smell of gasoline in the garage. After opening the hood, I was astonished to see the Holley mechanical fuel pump spewing fuel in 3 or 4 directions. I yanked it off, inspected and tightened everything and put it back on-no problems all weekend, but it could have been bad had I not noticed it.
