Hi,
I just realized that your msd has a retard function. This is probably the main cause of your troubles. I would check timing at idle with the black clip out,should be 10 degrees before TDC. Plug the clip in and it should advance to about 22 BTDC. If not then msd is retarding the timing at idle and screwing up the EEC IV. The retard should only come in under boost.
