I have the same problem. We are the same size also. I did bend the gas pedel forward. I bent it below the pedel stop, so as not to distort the throttle cable alignment or length. It helped alot, but still would be nice to have it farther front!

There is a ton of room in the foot box in front of the pedels. It would seem that installing a florr mounted gas pedel assembly may cure our problem.
