Hi Scott,
Early E-M frames used the stock Ford crossmember out of the Mustang II. I don't know when they made the change, but later frames used a much cleaner custom crossmember with the Mustang II geometry. One thing to watch out for is the steering shaft on the early frames. It is a custon short version of the Ford part. My frame is the early style and it came with the stock stamped control arms. I have since changed to narrowed tubular arms so that the wheels would fit under the fenders, and I've got a set of Carrera coilovers on my Christmas list
