YES! It is bronze and the entier drive train usually vibrates or worst if it is not installed.

If you have a big bone toploader, you will need to find the truck adaptor pilot bearing. OR, you can call David Kee and ask for a special input shaft that has a longer snoot.

If you have an 1 1/16 input shaft, you just need to find a pilot bearing.

Tap it in with a plastic hammer, dial it to make sure it is round in the butt of the crank and then dab a little grease in it.
